Taste of Summer CWC and PCW Blog Hop

This weekend, all the design teams for Cooking with Cricut and Paper Crafting World and having a blog hop. The theme is Taste of Summer.

You should have gotten here via Xochitl's blog! Welcome!

Each summer we pick blueberries by the boxful at a local growers, eat them fresh and freeze them for making blueberry muffins and blueberry and apple pie in the winter, so when I saw Melin's cute bear with a blueberry pie, I knew this would be my contribution for the blog hop!

I used the already coloured digital stamp for my card. She is so cute holding on to the pie.

I cut the image using a spellbinders labels die, embossed the edges then coloured with lemonade distress ink. I cut a dark blue layer to go under the image using the outside of the label die and a cutting blade.

Using the largest die in the set, I cut a folded card to make the easel card base, then cut some coloured papers with the same die and layered these onto the base card, adding my ribbon and a bow with ribbon and baker's twine.

I then attached my image and added some cute little flowers.

For the inside, I printed a sentiment, then cut it with another label die along with a backing layer, then attached to the base card with foam squares.

I am so looking forward to summer, to pick blueberries again. I hope I get some on my own blueberry bushes at home this year too!

I hope you have enjoyed our blog hop today. Click here to go back to Cooking with Cricut to see what awaits you there!

That must be weird, making a summer card when you're smack dab in the middle of winter! I never thought of that!
I love fresh blueberries, too. Hope you don't have too long a wait!
