Over at the PWC weekly challenge this week, the theme is Spring Flower Garden!
For this card, I used the birdcage and flowers cutting file, which can be found here. To make the card, I created a shadow of the birdcage using SCAL2 and welded two shadow shapes together for the card base. I then cut the actual birdcage in brown card that I covered with vintage paper distress ink then put clear embossing powder over that and heated it. I then rubbed a dark green inkpad over that to give it a rusty sort of finish.
The flowers were cut from a First Edition Paper set called Hideaway then inked on the edges to give some depth of colour. The card, birdcage and flowers were all cut on the Cricut using SCAL2.
I embossed the leaves and swirl with the Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirls folder and cut the tag using a Spellbinders Fancy Tags die. The sentiment is from a Gina K set - All Occasion Tags.
