Waterfall Cards

Last week I bought some new files from SVG Cuts - my favourite cutting file store! The set I bought was for waterfall cards.

How to describe them???

Well, when they are put together, you pull the tag and the lever comes out, causing the card pieces on top to cascade - a bit like a waterfall in reverse!

It took no time to put them together once I had cut the pieces and was quite pleased at the way they turned out.

The first one was a birthday card with flowers on it. I love the way the petals on the flowers pop up from the card too.

I stamped the sentiment on the lever so you can see it when it is pulled down.

This one is a child's birthday card. Instead of a tag at the end of the lever, you pull the tail of the crocodile and the head and mouth lift up.

I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the tail and the head to give a bit more dimension to the effect.

This is a baby card for someone special! I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the elements on the card to give them a lift. Great idea, especially when you are using plain coloured card.

Mary Rudakas designed these card for SVG Cuts. She is so clever with the ideas that she comes up with all the time. Thanks Mary!

I love these waterfall cards. I have never made one so I'd like to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your cards are awesome. The baby one is excellent. It was a long time before I attempted to make one until I found some instructions, but I have made a few now but have given them away and then realised I hadn't taken a photo of them. Thanks for sharing. Kindest regards
